1- Air pollution refers to degradation in quality of air we breathe. Degradation in quality of air further refers to increase in concentration of pollutant gases, which are harmful for humans. Rate of air pollution spreading worldwide was found to be 8% in research conducted in past years.
2.- Man made causes of air pollution are increased number of vehicles, use of harmful gases releasing equipment like AC, refrigerator.
Natural causes of air pollution are volcanic eruptions, forest fires.
3- Short term impact of air pollution are seen as smog, decreased visibility, increased harmful gases level.
4- Long term negative impacts of air pollution are respiratory diseases, allergies.
5- Efforts made to combat air pollution are regulation of human activities. Controlled usage of vehicles, refrigerators, AC, recycling products, using bicycles. Planting more trees to get pure air. These practices has been started by aware individuals.
