so length of its base = 3x/2 cm
perimetrer of triangle = sum of three sides
x+x+3x/2=42
7x/2=42
x=12cm , base =12*3/2=18cm
so length of equal side =12cm and base=18cm
height of triangle =√(12^2-9^2)=√144-81=√63=3√7
