so let the unit be x
where x = 3×10^8 m/s i.e 'c' m/s
and the distance is the c metres
light takes 8 min and 20s to cover the distance i.e 500 seconds
so using equation of motion the distance is 15 × 10^9
thus by dividing it with 3× 10^8
we get 50
thus the distance is 50 units in terms of that unit
