x=y+1/3×90
x=y+30
x and y form linear pair
x+y = 180°
y+30+y =180°
2y = 180°- 30°
2y = 150°
y = 75°
therefore x= y+30
or x = 75°+30°
x = 105°
hence x=105° and y = 75°
