I'm looking to build a gaming rig with say, a 3.1 ghz dual core processor, 4gb ram...
I'm not the "MUST PLAY CRYSIS 2 MAXED AT 100FPS" kind of gamer, but I'd like to play some modern games smoothy on say, medium/high-ish settings. Which card should I get?

Get 2 geforce 9800gtx+(s) to sli them or get 2 amd radeon hd 4670 and crossfirex tthem, or 2 geforce 9500(in sli), or 2 9600(in sli). These would be good options if on a budget.. all these are around $100 for a setup :) not best setups but should run alot of games fairly well for awhile
Building an older generation gaming rig? Where are you getting your parts? I'm just wondering because I'm trying to find old gen parts for sale new, but they're only on ebay.
>The HD 4870 is significantly better then the 9800gt. It goes like this:
HD 4830 vs.9800gt
HD 4850 vs. GTS 250
HD 4870 vs. GTX 260
Get the HD 4870. It's the most powerful among those cards.
