Let the molecular formula of the compound be (C3H7)n
Given, Molar mass of compound =86.2
Molar mass of (C3H7)n=n(3×12+7)=n(43)
⇒n(43)=86.2
⇒n≈2
So, Molecular formula is (C3H7)2 i.e. C6H14
