a converging mirror forms a real image of height 4cm of an object of height 1cm placed 20cm away from the mirror calculate the image distance and focal length of the mirror and draw a ray diagram for same .

A concave mirror is a converging mirror. We have to find the distance of the image 'v' and focal length of the mirror 'f'. Thus, the distance of the image 'v' is 80 cm. Thus, the focal length of the concave mirror is 16 cm.
Hope this helps you.

Given that - Height of image (Hi) - 4 cm
Height of object (Ho) - 1 cm
distance ( U ) - -20 cm
Focal length ( F ) - ?
By magnification formula
M = - V / U = hi / ho
- V / - 20 = 4 / 1
V = 80 cm
By mirrors formulae ,
1 / F = 1 / V + 1 / U
1 / F = 1 / 80 - 1 / 20
1 / F = 1 - 4 / 80 = -3 / 80
F = 80 / -3 = -26.66 Cm = -26.7 Cm
