Given:-
Their total marks adds up to 1952.
To find:-
The maximum marks of the examination
Solution:-
Considering that all A, B and C appeared for the same examination, let the maximum marks of the examination be x
So, Marks secured by A
[tex]\sf \frac{80}{100} \times x = \pmb{0.8x}[/tex]
Marks secured by B
[tex] \sf \: \frac{80}{100} \times 0.8x = \pmb{0.64x}[/tex]
Marks secured by C
[tex] \sf \: \frac{80}{100} \times 0.64 = \pmb{0.512x}[/tex]
According to the problem,
[tex] \sf \implies 0.8x + 0.64x + 0.512x = 1952[/tex]
[tex] \sf \implies \: 1.952x = 1952[/tex]
[tex] \sf \implies \: x = \frac{1952}{1.952} [/tex]
[tex] \sf \implies x = 1000[/tex]
[tex] \boxed{ \sf \therefore \: the \: maximum \: marks \: of \: the \: examination \: is \: 1000}[/tex]
