The velocity of sound wave v = 339 ms⁻¹
The wavelength of the waves λ = 1.5 cm = 0.015 m
∴ Frequency of the waves ν = λ/v = 0.015/339 = 22.6 kHz
The audible frequency range for the human ear lies between 20 Hz to 20 kHz.
Thus this wave is not audible.
Answer: Speed of sound, v = 339 m s−1
Wavelength of sound,= 1.5 cm = 0.015 m
Speed of sound = Wavelength × Frequency
Frequency = Speed of sound/Wavelength
Frequency = 339/0.015
= 22600 Hz.
IT'S NOT AUDIBLE AS ITS FREQUENCY IS MORE THAN THE NORMAL RANGE (20 Hz - 20 kHz)
WHICH HUMAN BEINGS CAN HEAR.
