Generally non-metals do not react with acid because non-metals accept electron from other so they cannot donate Hydrogen ion to the acid with which they are reacting so there is no reaction. Carbon react with sulphuric acid producing CO2,SO2 and water.
But give out displacement reaction because they get to fulfill their octet with the other elements.

GENERALLY NON- METALS DO NOT REACT WITH ACID BECAUSE NON METAL ACCEPT ELECTRONS FROM OTHERS SO THEY CANNOT DONATE THE HYDROGEN ION TO THE ACID WITH WHICH THEY ARE REACTING SO THERE IS NO REACTION.
