A biome is a community of various plants (flora) and animals (fauna), that inhabit a particular type of geographic region, climate and other biotic factors of the earth. It is an interaction between various communities of organisms and the environment they live in.
Biomes have no distinct boundaries there is a transition zone called an ecotone. This transitional zone For example : Forest and grasslands. It is where two communities integrate. It shows characteristics of both communities and have mixture of species of both communities.
