Answer:Alauddin Khilji (1296-1316 AD) was a powerful and successful ruler of the Khilji dynasty. He believed that power remained with the strong and that all inhabitants of the country were his subjects. He believed that wealth encouraged people to rebel against authority.
To control rebellions, Alauddin Khilji:
Confiscated the wealth of nobles and removed them from their bases of power
Regulated markets so that common people had access to goods at fair prices
Made taxation mandatory for all classes without bias
Promulgated four ordinances to prevent rebellions
Alauddin Khilji also implemented other administrative reforms, including:
Abolishing religious endowments, Inams (gift) lands, and subsidy
Regulating markets
Hiked agricultural taxes from 20% to 50%
