= –50cm
f = –0.2m (concave lens)
= –20cm
According to lens formula ,
1/v –1/u = 1/f
1/v = 1/u +1/f
1/v = –1/50 –1/20
= –2–5/100
= –7 /100
Then , V = –100/7
V = –14.3
Thus , the negative sign of indicates that the image is formed at a distance of 14.3 cm on the left side of the lens .

Magnification = v/u
