Irony is a term which refers to the opposite of what is being said.
Here in this poem the frog states that "your song must be your own". He really does not intend that.
In the beginning of the poem the frog himself offers to teach the nightingale and he says that he will make her a good singer with his training. However in the end when the nightingale died he said your song must be your own. This shows the irony in the statement.
