The Idealist Brutus was outraged by Cassius as he misguided him by telling him a lie about Julius Cesar that he was becoming ambitious. Cassius was a fickle minded person and very well know that Brutus loved Rome and Roman and for them, he can do anything. If Brutus would help Cassius in murdering Ceasar then the Roman people would also believe that Ceasar's death was justice to Rome and Brutus had a very good impression on the public of Rome and the Roman will never question Brutus. In that way, Brutus was outraged by Ceasar.
