Marginal workers.
(i)The main worker is a person who is engaged in any economically productive work for at least 183 days in a year. (
ii)A marginal worker is one who engaged in only economically productive work for less than 183 days in a year. In India 8.7% of workers are marginal workers.
Explanation:
Main Workers are those workers who had worked for the major part of the reference period i.e. 6 months or more. Marginal Workers are those workers who had not worked for the major part of the reference period i.e. less than 6 months
