The reaction between an acid and bases is called a neutralization reaction.
The result of the reaction is salt and water.
Acid + Base → Salt + Water + heat
For example, when hydrochloric acid(acid) and sodium hydroxide(base) react they form sodium chloride(salt) and water. Also, heat is evolved.
Hydrochloric + Sodium → Sodium + Water
Acid hydroxide Chloride
HCl
Answer:
The process in which acid react with base and form a salt and water.
e.g. HCl + NaOH = NaCl + H2O
