Rutherford scattering experiment:-Rutherford possessed energetic alpha particle through a very thin gold foil and concluded the following :-
1) most of alpha particle passed undeflected , concluding that most of the space of the atom are empty.
2) the rest of alpha particle were deflected by small angle and very few alpha particle refracted the path (@=180 degree) this concluded that the positive charge and whole mass of atom is concentrated at a small place called nucleus.
3) electrons move in circular path called orbit , and electron and nucleus are held together by electrostatic force of attraction.
Explanation:
the model described the atom as a tiny dense positively charged tiny core called A nucleus in which nearly all the mass is concentrated around which the light negative constituents called called electrons circulates yet which in some distance for example a planet's a circular or goes round around
