PERMANENT SETTLEMENT : It was the agreement between East India company and bengali landlords to fix revenues raised from the land that had far reaching consequences for both agricultural methods and productivity in the entire British empire and the political realities of Indian countryside
MAHALWARI SETTLEMENTS : The word mahalwari is derived from the hindi word mahal. This group consists of landlords and lambardars claiming. to represent entire village or even groups of village
MURNO SYSTEM : Its is known as Ryotwari system intoduced by Thomas Murno. in which the farmer was declared as the owner of the land.The company made the settlements with the peasants which was collected by the farmers. It was developed by Thomas Murno in 1820 hence the system came to be known as Murno system
