One of the ways is vertical sharing of power and the other is horizontal sharing of power.
Vertical sharing of power includes differences in powers given. Like the central government, state and local.
The central government has the power to question the state and the state can question local. In this type the power is shared to dominate type. Hence it is vertical.
In horizontal sharing of power , the lok and rajya sabah for example share equally strong power , so one can not impose laws and rules on an other like that in vertical. Because the power shared is even , it is referred to as horizontal sharing of power.
Hope it helps!!
All the best !!
