Your answer is:
When we inhale air it passes through our nostrils into the lungs.Breathing involves inhalation and exhalation of air.
During inhalation the ribs move up and the diaphragm moves down .This increases space in chest cavity and air rushed into the lungs.
During exhalation the ribs moved down and the diaphragm moves up to its former position. This decreases space in the chest cavity and air is pushed out of the lungs.
