2) ISOTOPES: Those elements that have the same atomic number but a different mass number are referred to as isotopes.
eg:- The isotopes of hydrogen are protium (has one proton and no neutrons), deuterium (has one proton and one neutron) and tritium (has one proton and two neutrons).
3) ISOBARS: Isobars are the atoms having the same mass number but a different atomic number.
eg:- the atomic number of carbon and nitrogen is 6 and 7 respectively. Carbon-14 an isotope of carbon has a mass number of 14 which is same as that of nitrogen and hence carbon-14 and nitrogen are isobars.
4) MASS NO.: It is the total number of protons and neutrons present in the nucleus of an atom.
5) HYDROCARBON: A hydrocarbon is an organic compound made of nothing more than carbons and hydrogens.
6) HYDROGENATION: The process of hydrogenationinvolves the use of hydrogen molecules to saturate organic compounds, in the presence of a catalyst.
7) COVALENCY: The number of electrons that an atom can shared to get stable electronic configuration is called it covalency.
eg:- In order to get stable Neon gas configuration Carbon shares its four valence electrons. Thus its covalency is 4.
