We know that longest side is hypotenuse of triangle i.e. = 13cm
other side can be base ,or height
let it be base =5 cm
therefore by Pythagoras theorem
the height = 12 cm
Area of triangle is = 1/2 *( base *height )
= 1/2*(5*12)
= 1/2*(60)
= 30 cm square
