Let d is diameter of circle
r is radius of circle and a is area of circle
we know that
[tex]area \: of \: circle = \pi \times {r}^{2} [/tex]
As diameter is given then radius will be
[tex]r = \frac{d}{2} = 2.6cm[/tex]
hence put
[tex]\pi = 3.14[/tex]
[tex]area \: of \: circle = \pi \times {r}^{2} \\ = \pi \times {2.6}^{2} \\ = 21.23 {cm}^{2} [/tex]
Hence area of circle is 21.23 cm sq.
