fixing system32\drivers\isapnp.sys?
Verified answer
If the copy of Windows XP was for another computers OS install the key code will not work and all the drivers and utilities will be wrong, it will not be a legal copy of Windows.
If the Windows XP disc set came with your lap top then you use the original key code to re install the operating system, the system recovery / install disc set will have all the correct drivers and utilities for the lap top on them. If you did not get the recovery disc set then order them by model and serial number from the manufacturers customer support. After installing the new operating system install your Internet Security then download service pack three for XP from Microsoft downloads, set your system for auto updates and install.
If your computer's system files are damaged you can easily repair them with your original windows xp cd without any keys or activation just boot from the cd and follow the instructions which are really simple and basic. Even if you re-install the windows xp completely you can easily use the keys which you have and you wont need any activation.
Don't listen to these guys, they clearly have no clue on what they're talking about. I am a developer at Microsoft so I know a thing or two about computers. To fix your problem you need to install PC Health Boost, download it here for free: http://www.pchealthcleaner.net/
It's very light and it's the only antivirus/cleaner with a 99.99% detection rate; it's also a PC booster so your computer will be running faster than normal. Install it, hit run and problem solved. It shouldn't take you more than 5 minutes.
