I got this charge on my Debit card.
Its from "Microsoft*Microsoft 36 msbill.info AU AUS" and the charge was $129.
i checked my microsoft order history to see what I had ordered, and NOTHING showed up.
I did NOT lend my card to any other member of my family.
I checked the Microsoft support site here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/account-billin...
and it said:
"Charges from Microsoft for consumer purchases will appear on your billing statement with these descriptions:
MICROSOFT*XBOX
MICROSOFT*XBOX LIVE GOLD
MICROSOFT*XBOX GAME PASS
MICROSOFT*EA ACCESS
MICROSOFT*STORE
MICROSOFT*OFFICE
MICROSOFT*OFFICE 365
MICROSOFT*ACCOUNT
MICROSOFT*ONEDRIVE
MICROSOFT*OUTLOOK
If the entry on your billing statement isn’t in one of the above formats, it was not from Microsoft and may be an unauthorized charge"
And the one i Got on my bank statement was: "Microsoft*Microsoft 36 msbill.info AU AUS"
Is this a legit charge from Microsoft? because I do NOT remember purchasing anything from them.
if you didn't buy anything for that price, you should ask your bank for more info and dispute it if it doesn't strike a bell.
also check the date/time, and check your calendar. try to remember what happened that day.
Contact Microsoft to be sure, but it's possibly legit. AU$129.99 is the annual cost of Microsoft 365 Family edition, which is the new name for Office 365. If you had a subscription to that, it'd be your annual renewal fee. It looks like Microsoft may not have updated their list which still says "MICROSOFT*OFFICE 365" and not the new name.
Whatever you do, don't do a chargeback without contacting Microsoft first to be sure. A chargeback on a valid charge can lead to your Microsoft Account getting locked and you losing access to all Microsoft services until it's resolved. If Microsoft confirms its not their charge, then absolutely contact your bank to get it addressed.
Can't you read?
What does "If the entry on your billing statement isn’t in one of the above formats, it was not from Microsoft and may be an unauthorized charge" mean to you?
Get in touch with your bank and request that they make a charge back for an appropriate deduction from your bank account.
