Note: I'm a bit confused my the question, I'm answering the question assuming that A travels at 40km per hour. But it doesn't really affect the final anwer though, it'll just affect they work that is shown.
Car A:
3 x 40 = 120
Car B:
30 x 50 = 150
Find the difference in distance.
150-120 = 30

= 30 km
