Given,
Time 1: 3 hrs Speed 1: 60km/h
Time 2: 5 hrs Speed 2: 35km/h
Therefore,
total distance travelled in 3 hrs: 60×3= 180km
total distance travelled in 5 hrs: 35×5= 175 km
therefore, total length of her journey = (180+175)km = 355km
therefore, avg. speed= total distance/total time= 355/8= 44.375km/h
