Call you phone service, have them do a reset for you .
This one sucks, but the only thing you can do is restore it, and unfortunately, to restore it, you have to force it into what's called "recovery mode." Essentially. you'll be breaking it, so you can fix it again.
First, turn your phone off, and plug the USB cable into your computer, but not the iPhone. Hold down the home button on your iPhone, (the square on the front) while you plug it into the USB cable. You'll get a message on the screen that says, "iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode..." Just follow the onscreen instructions from there and everything will be peachy. you'll still have your phone number, because that's stored on the SIM, but any data, like address books and music, will be deleted and will need to be re-synced. It should only take about ten minutes, tops.
@Blondie: AT&T cannot "do a reset" for her when it comes to Apple's hardware being locked by a passcode.
Ooooh guy, i myself wish the guy who misplaced that telephone is sensible adequate to apply the telephone-monitoring characteristic in iTunes. If I have been you, i could be doing away with that telephone except you want the two the police officers knocking on your door, or the guy who misplaced his telephone coming to conquer your retarded thieving ***.
