We know that mean of acceleration on peripheral points on Pulley is equal to the acceleration on central point .
Because string on B side is attached so acceleration at point B is 0 but that on point connected to A has acceleration let 'a' . So the acceleration on central point becomes (a+0)/2
=> a/2
Now since acceleration on block a is double of that on central
Hence , displacement of block is also double of central point i.e. Pulley
=> displacement of block be x then that of Pulley becomes 2x
Hence , proved and we have also calculated the acceleration on block and Pulley !!
