it is very simple.
in the 2 step we put the x-1 common in the three, that's why there is x-1. after removing x-1 the left variables came together.
in the first equation we make a colmmn of 2 variable. and find the common like this.....
x^3-x^2. in this the x^2 is common so we take x^2 common.
then,
x^2(x-1)
if you multiply the both equations the answer will be x^3-x^2.
