Hm...go into your My Computer file. Then click on your local hard disk that Limewire is stored in. Usually it's drive C, sometimes a D or other letter. Double click, go to where Limewire is installed and check through all of these folders. In one of these folders will be everything that you have downloaded via LimeWire. Even videos along with your songs if you have downloaded any. You may not be downloading them right, but if you are they should be in that folder.
May I suggest torrents instead of LimeWire? Much safer and easier to get full CDs and find your music. Go to isohunt.com to download torrents and then go to utorrent.com and download utorrent to download the software for downloading the albums you'd like, songs, HD movies, whatever you want! Even games! But that's just a suggestion. Due to Yahoo's lame policy, I can't go deeper into details about torrents. You'll need to PM me or someone and ask more, or Google it.
Ya know, I used to have the exact same problem. The solution is actually pretty simple. First of all, each and every song you download should be inside a folder in My Documents titled "Limewire". Thats our first stop.
Once inside that folder, there should be another folder titled "Saved". Go there.
There you should find all your music. Now. with all that in mind, you should have a folder titled "My Music". You basically need to copy all the music files from the "Saved" folder in the limewire folder and paste them into the "My Music" folder.
Once that is done, open Windows Media Player. Now sometimes WMP automatically adds the songs from "My Music" but sometimes it doesnt. To do this manually, go to file (in WMP), click "Add To Library", then click "OK" in the box that pops up until you're all done.
Sorry to seem like a dummy-downer but I am a customer service representative for Dish Network and that's my job......dummy-downing. No offense.
HOPE THIS HELPS!!!
Go into Windows Media Player, click on the drop down arrow below Library, Add music, then click "Add...". Select the folder that the music is in, then click okay. It'll add it automatically!
okay. here's what you do... get iTunes like everyone else! oh yea, and unless you like viruses, use a bit torrent client instead of that nasty limewire
you add the music to your library or transfer them there manually.
