Latitude affects the climate in different ways:
First, places closer to equator recieves more sunlight, as such you are far from the the equator, you receive less sunlight.
Second, depending on your latitude, they are prevailing winds 'Hadley 0-30°, Ferrell 30-60° and polar cells 60-90° that play a crucial role in determining the climate of a place. This greatly affect the heat and pressure distribution on the earth's surface.
