Few days ago I installed linux ubuntu 10.10 on my computer though I have xp 2 service pack before that and now also. Since I don't get along with ubuntu 10.10, I would like to uninstall it completely and I even don't know in which partation ubuntu is installed but as I open my computer I get the option of both ubuntu and xp, and I open whichever I like. Could u please help me now how to uninstall ubuntu 10.10 completely and easily from my computer ? Hope to be reverted back soon.
Thanks

if you installed it through wubi, the wubi website has instruction to unistall. Otherwise it should be pretty obvious which partition Linux is on if you did install it on a separate partition. (It's whatever shows up in a partition manager as something other than NTFS or FAT.
Assuming you're using Windows go to Disk Management by right-clicking Computer and choosing Manage. Then in the left hand list choose Disk Management under Storage. From there look for your Ubuntu partition, right-click it and choose Delete Volume. Then you should be able to extend your current Windows partition with the freed up space. (Might need a format first, not sure).
If you don't know which partition is your Ubuntu partition just look for the one that has an Ext4 filesystem or has an unknown fileystem. You might also have another small partition which might've been used as a swap partition by Ubuntu so you can delete that one as well.
dude first boot with xp then check it out the partitions u see in which xp is installed then you ill come to know where linux might have installed then u format the drives directly some time it will show error directly u cant delet but use wxp cd u uninstall it manually then take back cd as soo as formatting is completed beause douple installation may take place after that restart your pc then use safe mode thats all

first notice taht you are able to no longer uninstall homestead windows ninety 8 wiothout affecting different OS put in on your gadget. in case you do no longer choose the win98 archives, in basic terms format the particluar force. however the boot menu will maintains to be showing the two OSs. do no longer format, if the boot menu put in interior the homestead windows ninety 8 force. For SP2, get carry of it from homestead windows ninety 8 or homestead windows 2000. MS web site won't validate ninety 8 and 2000 structures. (the internet web site will ask for the validation, in spite of the incontrovertible fact that it is going to succeed and you will get carry of). question me in case you go with to understand greater.
