Mahalwari Sysrem- It is one of the three main revenue systems of land tenure in British India
the other two being the zamindar (landlord) and the ryotwati (individual cultivator

While In Ryotwari system was devised by Thomas Munro. Under this , the company made a revenue settlement directly with the ''ryot'' or peasant. The farmer was recognized as the owner of the land as long as he paid the land revenue. Also,the revenue was fixed according to the fertility of the soil. ★
