You will need a new CPU, which mean new motherboard, new GPU, which mean you should consider a new power supply. I don't think you should upgrade from this system, you should buy a new one, since four things above are the most expensive components in a PC.
I will list some components base on resolution you may want to play on:
1280x1024
Motherboard: BIOSTAR A880G+ – 66 USD
CPU: Athlon II X3 450 – 85 USD
Ram: 2 x2 GB G.SKILL NT DDR3 1333 MHz – 52 USD
GPU: HD 5770 1 GB GDDR5 – 155 USD
HDD: Hitachi 500 GB / 7200rpm / SATA II – 43 USD
Power: FSP Saga II 400W – 40 USD
Total: 441 USD
-The cheapest system, it can run most games on high settings at 1280x1024, above that, you can still have acceptable performance but not on high.
1600x1200
Motherboard(MB): Asrock 880GMH/USB3 – 95 USD
CPU: AMD Athlon II X4 635 – 103 USD
Ram: kit 2x2 GB G.SKILL RIPJAWS 1333 MHz – 67 USD
GPU: MSI HD 6850 Cyclone OC – 215 USD
HDD: Hitachi 500 GB / 7200 rpm / SATA II – 43 USD
Power: FSP Hexa 500W - 80Plus - Active PFC – 47 USD
Total 570 USD
The most efficiency system, this can run all games on high as long as you don't reach full HD resolution. Its only flaw is its CPU. This CPU is a little weak, but due to money, it is still listed. If you want better combination, replace the MB and CPU above with this:
CPU: Core i5 2300
MB: GIGABYTE GA-H67M-D2-B3
They will cost about 265 USD, mean adding 67 USD to 570 USD
1920x1080
Bo mạch chủ: Asus P8H67-V-B3 – 124 USD
CPU: Intel Core i5-2500 – 210 USD
Ram: kit 2x2 GB G.SKILL RIPJAWS 1333 MHz – 67 USD
GPU: GTX 560 ti 1GB GDDR5 Twin Frozr OC 250 USD
HDD: Hitachi 500 GB / 7200 rpm / SATA II – 43 USD
Power: FSP Blue Storm Pro 500W - 80Plus - Active PFC – 62 USD
Total ~632 USD
Good system for this price, you may change to core i5 2500K if you are an overclocker. It can play most game at high on 1920x1080, but not all. Below that, you can max out almost anything.
2560x1200
CPU: Core i5 2500k 4 cores 3,3Ghz - 220 USD
Motherboard: Asus P8P67 pro - 190 USD
Storage: SSD 32GB OCZ for Windows (or Mac) - 70 USD
Seagate 1TB SATA III 7200rpm for games and stuffs... - 55 USD
VGA card: ASUS Radeon HD 6970 DCII 2GB 370 USD
Ram: Corsair Vengeance 8GB bus 1600Mhz - 110 USD
Power supply: XFX 650watts 80+ bronze - 90 USD
Total About 1105 USD
Best system, spend more and what you receive will not worth it. This monster will crush down everything you throw at it, even at 2560x1200 res. Please note that a monitor support 2560x1200 is very expensive so this is only if you have a lot of money
Case, optical drive, monitor will cost some more, so choose carefully.
Sabyasachi you dont buy any processor. your configaration also good. you just add a high regilation graphics card & enjoy Crysis-2, Fear-3 games.
I think you'll first of all need a new graphics card. If you still have money left after that, you could buy a new CPU too.
thats very outdated your gonna need to upgrade everything
u have to change ur whole CPU
