The relation between Current and Voltage is given by
V = I R
As you can see from the above equation, we get that
Voltage is directly proportional to the Current flowing through the circuit.
When the Voltage is halved, then Current also gets halved but the condition is that the Resistance should be kept unchanged.
If Resistance is changed, then Current doesnot get halved on halving the Voltage.
