Height of tower be h
Distance of boy from the tower = 60 m
angle, θ = 30°
Let the height of tower be the perpendicular and distance of boy from the tower be base of a right angled triangle.
So,
==> tan θ = Perpendicular / Base
==> tan 30° = h / 60
==> 1/√3 = h/60
==> h = 60/√3 m
==> h = 60√3 / 3
==> h = 20√3
Hence , height of the tower is 20√3 m
☛ Question :-
If a boy see the top of the tower from a point 60m from its foot with an angle of 30 degrees find the height of tower.
☛ To find :-
☛ Solution :-
➞ tan 30° = Perpendicular / Base
➞ 1/√3 = AB/60
➞ 60/√3 × √3/√3 = AB
➞ 60√3/√3 = AB
➞ AB = 20√3
∴ Height of the tower = 20√3 m
