Sol :-
Let PQ = x
OQ = x + 1
By Pythagoras theorem,
OQ² = OP² + PQ²
(x+1)² = (7)² + (x)²
x² + 2•x•1 + 1² = 49 + x²
2x + 1 = 49
2x = 49 - 1
2x = 48
x = 48/2
x = 24cm
Now,
PQ = x = 24cm
OQ = x+1 = 24+1 = 25cm
