Since deciduous plants lose their leaves to conserve water or to better survive winter weather conditions, they must regrow new foliage during the next suitable growing season; this uses resources which evergreens do not need to expend.
Explanation:
It is so as during the dry season, the deciduous trees don't get moisture or water as rain is sparse. Having a lot of leaves will cause it to use up the little water available quickly which is not wise if it wants to survive thee dry season. So, it sheds all its leaves.
