I've been using a MacBook for the past 6 years, and feel like it's time for a change. I've got my heart set on this computer from TigerDirect:

However, I'm not entirely sure on whether TigerDirect is legit. Some say TD is flawless, others believe that it's a scam. This PC has everything I want/need, and is at a very reasonable price, but it kinda seems too good to be true. Is TigerDirect trustworthy? And do they ship to Western Australia?

I have ordered from Tiger Direct several times and even visited one of their stores in Canada. I can tell you that the company is legit, and even though I have had a couple of minor problems, I would still shop there. With ANY company, a problem may occur with your order, but that doesn't stop people from making bad comments; All it takes is one defective product for some idiots to declare that a store is bad.
TD's help section says that you have to phone them if you're ordering internationally:
"For all international orders, export, and distribution please contact our sales force at:
800-800-8300
or
1-305-415-2201"
You have to think about the cost of shipping the product back if it turns out to be defective though. I never buy any large items online due to that probability, not to mention that you can't trust the courier to treat the box nicely. On top of that, there's the question of the cost for shipping the product if you need service under the manufacturer's warranty. Does iBUYPOWER have any authorized service centers in Australia?
Are you sure that can't get something similar from one of your local stores? Print out a copy of the computer's product page and then check out your smaller local computer shops to see if they can't build you a similar system for the same price or less.
Completely legitimate. They're on par with their US competitors Newegg, Frys, NCIX, etc. You might be more familiar with their global sibling stores Misco, all owned by Systemax Inc. which operates in the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, France, Spain, Ireland, Belgium, the Netherlands and Sweden.
Not sure if Tiger Direct will ship to Australia, but iBuypower systems are available there.
