clonazepam definitely makes you drowsy. when i sued to take it with my sleeping pills, i would have these huge crashes in the morning and would not even be able to function at school . the weight gain wasnt an issue for me, but then again i was recovering from my eating disorder,. the best thing to do is tell your doctor and if the fatigue is a big problem, consider switching medications. as for the weight gain , dont worry about it to much ,for many other medications have this same effect on people. it's just the chemical balance in your body
Clonazepam is related to Xanax/Valium/Ativan and can certainly cause tiredness. I'm not aware of any direct effect of weight gain with it, but if someone is often at restful state then they are more likely to gain weight.
Speak to your doctor about what you've described here, and see about an adjustment or change.
Also, be aware than suddenly stopping clonazepam can cause some withdrawal symptoms.
Yes clonazepam can leave you feeling drowzy, i hope you know the reason why you are taking the medication it can be used for anxiety, or to help you sleep at night. If you need it for anxiety but fear getting drozy when you take it, up you're dose (double it, or triple it) you will get drowzy but after having uped you're dose for a few consecutive times, you can come back down to you're regular dose and you'll see you're body will have become imune to the sleepyness, (for you're correct dose that is) this may seem like totally false information, and i'm sure you wouldn't hear it extremly often from a health care proffesional but i assure you its factual. Though you havent shared the reasoning behind why you're on the medication neither have you provided us with the amount you're on. and If you are feeling drowzy and unmotivated then weight gain is understandable but i dont think its fair to blame it on the pill. clonazepem shouldnt be used on scheduale but rather when needed.
