Today's temperature = 7 degrees Celsius
yesterday's temperature = 13 degrees cooler
13 degrees cooler means that yesterday the temperature was 13 degrees Celsius less than today's temperature.
So, yesterday's temperature = 7 - (13)
⇒ 7 - 13
= - 6
So, yesterday's temperature was - 6 degrees Celsius.
Answer.
Temperature today = 7
Yesterday's temperature was 13° cooler
⇒ take away 13° from the temperature today
Find yesterday's temperature:
7 - 13 = -6
