Long story short, Im 20 years old and I have a chronically pinched sciatic nerve from my own stupidity, but anyway, my pinched nerve flares up every so often, usually after I've had to do a lot of lifting at work like i had to do today, right now it feels like someone is stabbing a knife into my back whenever i bend over to pick something up, put on my socks or my shoes etc... and I was wondering if anyone knows of anything I can do before going to sleep that will help un pinch my sciatic nerve or at least make the pain go away so my back won't be stiff as a rock when I wake up and so I can actually go through my work day without being in excruciating pain

Omg yoga. It's the only thing that helped me. No meds would even touch the pain. Another thing I do when it's really bad is I lay belly down on the floor, prop myself up on my elbows with my chin on my hands. Then I bend my knees upward so the bottoms of my feet are up towards the ceiling. Then take your legs(calves/ankles) cross and uncross them. Crossing clockwise and then counter clockwise opens up some think in the hip and back that will unpinch your nerve. Hope it works for you.

Pinched sciatic nerve?

What helps me most is to take a Hot shower and let that Hot water beat down somewhere below my hips to the cheeks of my a$$ just before I got to bed. If I worked physically hard I might also take 2 Advil. I pinched a nerve pulling up Tansy Ragwort and it must have caused permanent damage because after the pain subsided (almost 2 weeks) My feet are numb on the bottom. I went to therapy and it seems exercise that increase the size and strength of the glutal muscles in your Butt to support and protect the nerv running from the middle of your lower back all the way to your 3 middle toes.
I am Michaels girlfreind i had a enersion 3 years ago was laying in hospital for 3 months and when i came home could not walk had skin graph from my right leg due to infections lost half my skull from then on from the middle of my left buttock down my left leg into my ankle and foot have been so painful my family doctor is going to try Lyrica because nothing else has helped i had Cortazone shots in my spine and two nerve blocks and still have pain any ideas Vivian
This may sound a little weird Jon, but try sitting on a tennis ball for about 10 minutes. You want a fairly firm chair and position the ball right on the butt cheek, you know the spot. If your foot goes numb stop but otherwise do 10 on and 20 off. Is a little bit of acupressure without the chiropractor bill. And try getting up a bit earlier (or go in a bit later) and stretch yourself out before you go in to work. Toe touches, thigh hamstring and groin stretches.
And if all else fails, ibuprofen is better at this sort of thing than Tylenol. Best of luck
poor baby
It should hurt to be that stupid.
