▪︎ Age of second brother is y
sum of age,
⇒ x + y = 25
⇒ x = 25 - y ------------------(1)
Difference of age,
⇒ x - y = 3
⇒ 25 - y - y = 3
⇒ 25 - 2y = 3
⇒ -2y = 3 - 25
⇒ -2y = -22
⇒ y = -22/-2
⇒ y = 11 -------------------(2)
Now put the value of y in Equation 1,
⇒ x = 25 - y

⇒ x = 14
Hence their ages be 14 years and 11 years.
