If, 10 is the largest member , then it must be the hypotenuse.
Now, according to Pythagoras Theorem:-
(Altitude)² + (Base)² = (Hypotenuse)²
Let altitude be x and base be y.
So, x² + y² = 10²
x² + y² = 100
Now, we have to find two numbers such that sum of their squares is 100 and less than 10.
So, let us take x = 6 and y = 8.
Putting these values in the equation formed.
6² + 8² = 100
36 + 64 = 100
100 = 100
So, our equation is satisfied.
Hence, the Pythagorean Triplet so founded is :- (6 , 8 and 10)
