Step-by-step explanation:
3x/2 - 5y/3 = -2
on taking LCM
9x - 10y/6 = -2
9x - 10y = -2 *6
9x - 10y = - 12 ...(i)
x/3 + y/2 = 13/6
on taking LCM
2x + 3y/6 = 13/6
2x + 3y = 13/6*6
2x + 3y = 13 ... (ii)
from equation (i)
9x - 10y = - 12
9x = -12 + 10y
x = (-12 + 10y)/9
putting value of x in equation (ii)
2x + 3y = 13
2*(-12 + 10y)/9 + 3y = 13
on taking LCM
(-24 + 20y + 27y)/9 = 13
-24 + 20y + 27y = 13*9
-24 + 47y = 117
47y = 117 + 24
y = 143/47
y = 3.04
now, putting valu of y in equation (ii)
2x + 3y = 13
2x + 3*3.04 = 13
2x + 9.12 = 13
2x = 13 - 9.12
x = 3.88/2
x = 1.94
