===>>> A constitution amendment is a modification of the constitution of a nation or a state.
⊙ In many jurisdiction the text of the constitution itself is alterd but the ammendments change its effects.
⊙ The method of modification is typically remembered into the constitution itself.
⊙ most constitution require that amendments can not be changed or enacted unless they have passed a special procedure that is more stringent than that required of originally legislation.
⊙ EXAMPLES :) super majorities in the legislature... etc
⊙ Australia and Ireland provide examples of constitution requiring that all amendments are first passed by the legislature before being submitted to the people.
⊙ In the case of Ireland a simple majority of those voting at the eloctorate is all that is required whereas a more complex set of criteria must be met on Australia.
⊙ Switerzland has procedure similar to that of Australia.
⊙ In contrast the constitution of the U.S state of Alabama has been amended over 800 tines since 1901.
