we find that a = ( p - 12 )
b = 2( p - 12 )
c = 2
if the equation has two equal and real roots then
b² - 4 ac = 0
putting values we get
D = {2(P -12)}² -4.2(P -12) =0
4{ (P -12)² -2( P -12) } =0
(P -12)² -2(P -12)=0
(P -12){ P -12 -2} = 0
(P -12)( P -14) =0
P = 12, 14
hence value of P = 12, 14
