Given,
Adjacent angles of a parallelogram are (4x + 22)° and (x - 42)°
We know that,
Sum of adjacent angles of parallelogram = 180°
4x + 22 + x - 42 = 180
5x - 20 = 180
5x = 200
x = 40°

Since we know that sum of adjacent angles of parallelogram =180°
Therefore,(4x+22)+(x-42)=180°
So,5x-20=180°
Hence,x= (180+20)/5
So,x=40°
